Ken and Rose moved to Wisconsin in 1999 and decided to get a motorcycle to ride with their friends. Their first bike was a “Honda” that needed a backrest. They went to a Harley dealership to purchase a backrest and came home with a 1993 Dyna Low Rider.
Some of their most favorite rides are the annual Iowa ride “Hawgs for Dog’s” ride that generated money for guide dogs, the annual benefit ride at Tucked Away Bar & Grill in Marquette Wisconsin, and the Tomahawk Fall Ride.
Due to Ken’s double shoulder surgery, they didn’t ride as far or as often as they would like. They had always wanted a Trike but didn’t think it was in their plans.
They planned to go to Daytona Bike Week in March 2021. Their 1993 has original saddlebags needed to be replaced. They went to Open Road Harley-Davidson intending to purchase new saddlebags. Their joke to Aaron at the parts counter was “We are here for new saddlebags or a new bike”.
While they were at Open Road H-D, there sits the 2020 Ultra Tri-glide that was their dream bike. Oh boy, both of them sat on it and it felt perfect. Needless to say, they decided that the Trike was now in their plans.
|With this new Trike, they are very excited to be able to ride more often and can hardly wait for the spring and summer.|
Their first ride on the Trike was to tour around our local area and to just get the feel for it. They are now wondering why we waited so long to make the transition to 3-Wheels.
The 1993 Dyna Low Rider was the perfect bike for them for many years. They are hoping that it will be the perfect bike for someone else next spring.
The Trike is going to allow them the freedom and ease to travel by bike more often. I see many weekend trips in the future.
